I started this group because I lost my mom unexpectedly nearly 6 years ago. I still find myself circulating through the various stages of grief.... and while I have amazing people in my life, I feel that no one truly understands the loss because their mothers are still alive and well. I'd like for this to not only be a support group, but maybe a place where we can do things together. … This is not a deep grief counseling group, per se. Yes, we will be there for those who are in deep grief to help them through it as much as we can but we are also a social group where we can do things where we "fit in" instead of being alone because we feel we don't fit in the "singles scene" or we feel like we are a 5th wheel now.
